Well it is kinda obvious he will become the Hokage... he is the main character. well unless he dies maybe... but i bet he will then proberly somehow magically come bak to life and be 10x stroger then b4 and then become Hokage. but i dont think anybody relises that to be Hokage 2 conditions must be met:
1. U must know over 1000 techniques
2. U must be able to use at least 2 types of elemental chakra
and in case u havent noticed Naruto can't do either of those things

sheer determination has a big role but his nine tail fox has a bigger part as the series goes on naruto most likely have to or will be force to use the fox again
Remember the fox cloak does not actually heal naruto but destroys his living cells making his lifespan shorter and shorter
fox cloak does not take form until the forth tail is out (just in case of a debater saying i am wrong)
